He was pretty good here. He just had no talent around him.

I remember him being the only one with a heart beat at times. He was the de facto #1 receiver when others got injured and he produced in that role.

 

Plus he was an amazing blocker.

He was good here and yes he could start on this team, probably over McKenzie in the slot. But it was no secret he wanted to go home if he could when he was a FA.

He was OK for a drought-era Bill. I didn’t miss him when he left though.

 

I just looked him up, he played in 19 out of 32 games his last 2 years here, and IIRC, he played hurt in a bunch of them.

He’s due $15M this season.  A lot to be paying WR, especially one like Woods who is not really a #1.  LAR traded his salary for a 6th

Yeah he surprised me because I never thought he would be any better than a fringe WR2.  
 

I think McVay did a much better job utilizing his skill set than anyone in Buffalo ever did.    Having a QB like Tyrod probably didn’t help his cause in Buffalo either.
