Browns are signing Brissett to back up Watson. I think Brissett sucks but that might be mostly from watching him play the Bills

Like that less, I can see Barkley as a cheap back up but I'd rather have someone developmental that we might be able to trade later at 3.

I’m betting Bills give him a new multi-year deal, with a lower cap hit this season.

 

Echoing what others said, I like the pickup. One of the better backups in the league. Knows he’s a backup, so might stick around a few seasons. Knowledge to share with Josh. Rapport with Diggs. If you need him for five games, he can win you 3 of them and keep your season alive.

EDIT: Barkley coming back too, as the new Davis Webb practice squad guy? Sign me up. Players said he did A LOT for the locker room, team culture, organizing workouts and get-together. Etc

When Case played in Houston back in college, i thought he had a really good arm & projected well to the pro's.

It hasn't really worked out for him but he can definitely win us games & has a better arm than Barkley or some of the other options.

 

Beane has been methodical this offseason. Checking off the needs one by one.
Cross backup QB off your list, all for a 7th.

The roster bonus was due today.  I'm expecting the Bills made the Brown pay it before trading for him.  Still gotta do something with that $6M salary though.

Great trade. I feel like Keenum could take us to the super bowl with our current squad if something ever happened to Josh. He’s not worse than Trent Dilfer is what I mean.
