Hello all,

Seeing the thread about Tyreke possibly seeking a trade, I wanted to pick back up on this subject. My original post mentioned the AFCW upgrading QB talent, big time as a reason for not building our team to beat KC. Since then, I have thought of the playoff run the Chiefs have been on over the past few years. They've had quite a run. Thing is, I remember our 90's Bills going on a sustained run and it was awesome(save for the SB's), but after so many seasons played AND the extra playoff games, there comes a point where our key guys were just worn down. Everyone seems to "get up" for you more so than, say the Jets. Playing the Bills at that time was the "Super Bowl" for a lot of teams. With KC, not only has the division gotten a lot tougher, but key guys are getting older or seeking to get paid. Kelcey is 32 yrs old, I believe and he has a lot of wear on those tires. Honey badger left for more $. A glance at their roster doesn't show a ton of players over 30 years old, but the key players have to be wearing down after a long playoff run. I believe Kelcey has played an extra 15 games over the course of his time here. That's almost a full extra season for such a key player. A few players nearing the age of 30 will probably feel this effect too. If Tyreke stays, he's 28 and has a ton of wear with the extra games played. Just curious if anyone thinks their time is up due to these extra games wearing them down over the past few years. Thoughts and thanks.

EDIT: Tyreke  gone to Miami. Changes this, drastically.

As much talent has come to the AFC - it seems like the Bills should now be clear faves, at least for this season.  We have arguably the weakest division, and the AFCW is brutal.

The #1 seed is never a given, but we have a great opportunity to snag it this season.

I hope not. The AFC is loaded with teams who could run a late season hot streak right into a championship. The conference is a dogfight. Which makes McChoke’s 13 sec gaffe loom larger.

I would say "YES" for now, though KC just got a lot more beatable now that Tyreek has moved on.

As long as they have top coaching and Mahomes, they'll remain a huge problem.

Fair enough. The more competitive the conference gets, the more I worry McChoke blew this team’s best chance. Time will tell.

Andy Reid to over a decade to "learn" before winning his 1st. We're all in right now. Now is not the time to change coaches, IMO. Now, if we blow chunks this year...

Afc west gonna beat up on each other. nobody is running that division.  we have as good a shot at the 1 seed and buy as anyone other than green bay or tampa.  Get homefield and lets go

It's going to depend on what they do with the draft picks and cap space. They could get a speedster like Jameson Williams plus have a ton of cap space to sign back Honey Badger and another good safety and actually be better off than before

In my opinion,  it's not just a gimmicky passing league like KC was doing.  The Bills should not model themselves after that.  You still need to run, stop the run and get after the QB.  Tampa Bay a couple years ago is a good example.  Yes, they could throw with Brady and had very good WR's. But they could still run very effectively.

Curious to see what Kc does.  They are not nearly as scary without Hill.  He is a unicorn.  Paired with Mahomes it was a sight to see.  I think both Mahomes and Hill will have an adjustment without each other.

Hill is not easily replaced imo.  Idc what his combine number were he isnt getting caught from behind.  Idk, many qbs that will yolo balls to him deep as well.  They were a unique pairing.  With out Hill they are 100 times easier to defend.
