The Wiz Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 (edited) I don't think they are going to be able to do that "who was a first round pick?" speech again. Wait... that was Daboll wasn't it. Well they weren't having it anyways. Edited March 17, 2022 by The Wiz 1 Quote

Beast Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 (edited) It has the feel that Epenesa or Basham may be sent away in a trade. I like what we are doing but having 9 starting type players in a unit is overkill. Edited March 17, 2022 by Beast Quote

He really has looked like a bust so far and even if he looks good in summer again like last year I would expect Beane to try and move him or ultimately cut him. 2 2 Quote

If he is so much of a bust, you won't get squat in return. Don't bet the farm that it's Epenesa if they do a trade, though calling Epenesa a bust is way premature IMO. Miller needs to prove he is still worth money he is being paid. School system here hired a big name school super attendant from California who had already retired with full pension via highly paid recruiter. In first two years he made drastic changes to make sure he hit all of his bonuses including cuts in benefits for most of non-teachers and eliminates substitutes. Half way into third year of 5 year contract he needed to go on disability for a pre-existing condition and would not be able to work for rest of contract. He STILL qualified for another full pension paid for by our school system which is now still paying all of the costs he occurred. School system still needed to pay someone to do his job and clean up the mess. "Show me the money" is an old and worn out phrase. "Show me the value" is what I want to see. 1 Quote
