One or two cuts won’t do it. We’re going to see MULTIPLE re-structurings, conversions to signing bonuses, and extensions in the coming days. There is no money left in the banana stand. Beane will have to get creative, and fast, to fit Miller and co and remain cap compliant. Yep, and we also don't have any backup QBs. One will be a vet that won't be very cheap. 1 1 Quote
MAJBobby Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 With Beasley Release and Recent moves. Bills cap Space $18,922,395 https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/ Still to account for in that 18.9M Howard Jones Saffold Miller 2 Quote
Mark92 Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 Bills need to add a Vet starting caliber CB. It has to happen. 1 3 Quote

When the outstanding contracts are likely processed. I would think Beane would free up maybe 2-4M on the positive right now, to be able to process the current agreements with the league and continue work. Just my Guess. Obviously he knows what he has and how much more he has to free up if any to process current contracts. But they can likely fit them all at this point I would think 3 minutes ago, Slo_Bills said: Yeah well Beasley is a goner now so that leaves Star And then about another 5-7 moves that could be done to free more up. offyourocker Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 would be nice to see Lotulelei take a pay cut. Matakevich also jumps at me as pricey for what you get Quote

And why would you trust a player that doesnt show up or even really want to play anymore to give him another contract redo. Move on from this malcontent already 1 2 Quote
Mark92 Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 I remember way back to yesterday afternoon when I really thought I had a grasp on how the NFL cap worked. I guess this why you here "insiders" say you just make the numbers work if you can get a big fish. Quote

Once the dust settles on the current signing the Bills will be inside the cap by a few bucks. Any moves from now on will need a corresponding cut/restructure. Quote

What is missing is this years cap hits for the following players. Von Miller DaQuan Jones Rodger Saffold OJ Howard Everyone is free to determine what they guess the remaining cap will be after the contracts drop. I say it will be pretty close to even. Quote

One thing I didn't mention above is the Top 51 Cap. As of now each of the higher paid signings has a reaction. As each gets signed it knocks off a lesser paid player on the Top 51. That means that players making $700k get pushed off. So the new higher paid players first year cap hit is essentially $700k less. Just wanted to be totally accurate with my comments. 4 minutes ago, loyal2dagame said: Add Jordan Phillips to the list according to One Bills Live Loyal, thanks for the info. If true Star has to retire or be cut. 1 Quote
