Tom Clancy  is to blame here.  All those compelling stories of intrigue, double dealing and international conspiracies finally caught up with us all. 
 

He wrote his first novel in 1984, but we can pinpoint the Clancy Tipping Point to November 9, 2016.  After that day, pretty much everyone can be identified as a Russian operative.  
 

I’m even rethinking that Billy Joel song where he flies to Leningrad and meets Viktor, the “circus clown” who he says is a “friend”.   Everyone knows clowns hide in sewers and kill people. 


They walk among us, these operatives…and they are everywhere.

Oddly, they weren't back in 2012.  On the contrary, our Prezizzle was colluding with them, telling them to lay low until after the election, so he could get re-elected, then they could (and did) do whatever they wanted.

It is impossible for people to turn down millions year after year. If Jim and Tammy Faye fell to the side of evil, anyone can. I have no doubt every long term politician made bucks from insider info, foreign investments and influence.
