Which is the best spot for both Ed and Jordan. Lot of nasty beef in the middle of that DL now. Ya and throw in Shaq and we are tough to run in at least. Still need a pass rusher though...or just say ***** it and sign Gilmore opposite tre Quote

Settle is a guy who can penetrate too from the 1T, while Jones is that big space eater type. 1 Quote

Why would the Bills want him? Because he would be cheap and could possibly have similar success in Buffalo again. Scheme is SO important to player performance. There are very few players good enough to transcend scheme and be a stud anywhere, most are scheme dependent in order to shine. If the Bills brought him back, they deserve the benefit of the doubt in regards to what Phillips can bring to the table again. Quote
NewEra Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 If the plan is to cut Star June 1, we still need another big DT. Ed always playing the 3, D jones always playing the 1 and settle and Jordan Phillips can play a little of both. Ed and 3 big dudes and all are pretty good at pass rushing for their respective positions. 3 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Felt like reminiscing. Went to YouTube to watch Jordan Phillips highlights. 1st game is the Bills making Saffold look foolish. Now I'm sad. 1 Quote

somnus00 Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Are the Bills back to being a team that NFL players want to play for? I thought they were a joke franchise when McKissic used the Bills to get back with his ex. I'm so confused with all this drama. Quote
Mrbojanglezs Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Looks like we're going to run a 4 DT front Quote
Mr Wild Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Phillips played 18 out of 34 possible games for the Cards. Hopefully it is cheap Quote

benderbender Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 (edited) Excited to see what a humble Shaq and Phillips can do. But who to trust for confirmation after the Washington RB debacle? Wait 48 hours? Edited March 16, 2022 by benderbender Quote

Might be a disservice to the up and coming Settle. Doesn't feel like a Beane move but I knew this was coming and thought maybe Phillips and Zimmer might end up as the 3T's. Jordan Phillips is a $1M-$2M player right now, IMO. As for the cutting Star part......... Quote
HappyDays Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 I find it hard to believe he was just cut and immediately agreed to terms with the Bills. I'm guessing this is a Shaq Lawson-esque desperation move. 3 Quote

The Cards thought they were getting a gem in Philips when they signed him for $10M per year after the year he had in Buffalo. How did that work out for them? Pieces have to fit schemes and the supporting cast makes a huge difference in the success of a player. 1 Quote
