I don’t know? Maybe a great GM needs to throw costs into the wind and just get that guy that gives you a much better shot at a SB?

The Broncos paid that Cowboys Pass Rusher a ton to give them two and they won a SB. We’re still looking for one….

Can we say this?

A great GM finds a way to win a SB….

What sucks is Chandler Jones isn’t worth 17 mill

So what is he worth, $15 million? Are we quibbling over $2 million to improve a major weakness on the roster? Every free agent gets overpaid when they switch teams. For impact players you do it anyways.

I think that one guy was already on their roster as a draft pick: Aaron Donald

The Rams brought in at least 3 big contributors/difference makers, so I'm interested in who that poster thinks was "the one".

Most Bills fans would take a championship in 2022 over 10 years of playoffs without a championship. I'm pretty sure they'd even agree to a championship in 2022 even if it meant 10 losing seasons after.

We forget the Bills were also in on Von Miller. Imagine Von Miller on the Bills last playoffs. Does he make at least one sack on Mahomes to kill a drive? Maybe. Would have cost the Bills a 2nd round pick+, but who knows.

We had a bunch of Beane 2nd round picks sitting on the bench vs KC.

Building is one thing, winning a championship is another. Regier had the big trades as well early on. They both focus more on financial sustainability over championships.

I guess we are just going to have to agree to disagree.   The Bills have spent right up to the cap almost every year he has been year.   If his moves havent convinced you he is trying to win a championship, then you wont be convinced.      I know a lot of fans would choose one championship over 10 years of playoffs.   Personally if I am a GM of a team, I'd probably try not to think like a fan.   I'd also try to run a team that was both financially sustainable and could win games at a high enough level to keep my job.    Dont see how reckless spending makes the Bills a better team but thats just me I guess,

If you told me the next 10 years would be predetermined in one of two ways and there was nothing the organization could do to change it, I would choose to win a championship followed by another 9 years in the basement. They could never take that excitement and joy away for finally getting over that hill. If the alternative was 10 winning seasons, each year in the playoffs but never a Super Bowl win, the team would be much more fun to watch, but probably even more frustrating. Give me the championship. We went 17 years without the playoffs with nothing to show for it.

Not at all. I have gone on record about this before. Ask a Red Sox Fan, a Cubs fan, or any other fan that waited for a championship and finally got one. My guess is that each time their season ends without a championship, they don't think about the one they did win. They are just as miserable as they were every in every other season their team didn't win it all.

He's trying to win a championship. He just isn't going to sacrifice future financial stability to do it. That was Darcy Reiger. That's where the "Do something Darcy" saying came from. I'm just seeing a lot of similarities.

I have no doubt we're going to be a contender, we have Allen. But we're going to need more.

It's not like Chandler Jones would be our 2022 Bruce Smith.

He's a nice player, but that's too much money.  We need more of a pass rush, but there are a few other ways to get there.
