I wonder if they decided he has hit his ceiling as a player.

Not much to wonder about as far as I can tell. They know and he knows they need more speed and athleticism at CB2.

For 2.5 mil, does it matter?  Tell me a play (not directed at you) after Tre went out, where Wallace felt like the weak link out there?  I really don't get it

Only explanation is that they feel Dane Jackson is a cheaper replacement and the 3rd guy in the boundary corner room has to be faster.

Consider that Levi may have wanted a fresh start as well. He knows they want to replace him. He was the target on the field for those last 2 plays in KC. When Tre is out there specifically, he’s constantly targeted because they don’t throw at Tre.

Contract details are out.  His 2022 cap hit is 2.5 mil.

Clearly, Buffalo just didn’t want him back.  I think that’s absolutely crazy because he more than held his own.

But, in Beane I trust

I tend to think it says more about the Bills' opinion of Dane Jackson than of Levi Wallace.

So.  Hated we lost Levi.  Watched the patriots playoff game and the Chiefs playoff game this weekend.

Man, Levi did not have play well in either game.  Dude was slow, held a lot (not much called though), and plain was not that great.

Hope Dane or Tarron step up and can viable CB2’s this season.  Or a FA..

Probably why they didn't match that very matchable contract.

Totally agree.  On that first drive, if Hyde doesn't come from center field to make the pick, Aghalor would have scored.   Levi was beaten badly on that play.

Why Levi left

Is there evidence that the Bills ever offered him a contract? The article makes it sound like he had an offer from both the Steelers and Bills and was mulling over them. Maybe he had a standing offer from the Bills? The article also says that his agent was pushing the Steelers' offer,  and it is highly unlikely that the agent had an epiphany from above. 🙂
