Buffalosouth Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 We got Jerry Hughes when he was buried on the colts. If he could make a career out of this deal it'd be a win for both parties. Can't say I've seen this guy make a play ever though. Quote

wppete Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Love this signing. Hope we also sign Harrison Phillips also. 1 1 1 Quote
Magox Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Washington has a lot of talent at that position and it was difficult for him to get a lot of snaps. Â Â They say he played well when called upon and looks good enough to get the opportunity to play a lot more snaps. Â Good pass rushing DT 1 Quote
ColoradoBills Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Working alongside Jonathan Allen, Daron Payne and Matt Ioannidis, Settle has never played more than 364 defensive snaps in a season. However, he has shown enough in that limited role to be an intriguing offseason acquisition who could take on more snaps, earning PFF pass rushing grades above 70.0 in each of the past two years. Buffalo could be in need of some additions to its interior defensive line, depending on what happens with Harrison Phillips in free agency. At worst, Settle would be a relatively cheap depth piece with some upside.  https://buffalowdown.com/2022/03/13/pff-picks-perfect-free-agent-match-buffalo-bills-offseason/ 2 Quote

Looks that way to me.  Fills a need.  Competes with a rookie and others for a spot in the rotation.  I bet modest money.  Only 24 and barried behind Allen and Payne.  I like it. Quote

Yeah he’s a pass rush demon for a big dude.  I think he’s a going to take the double teams and leave Ed single blocker.  If teams double Ed, Settle will wreck 1 on 1. I’m thinking 1T will be Settle and a 4th or 5th Ed pick.  1 Quote
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Sounds like a good signing. I bet Harry is coming back as well. We need both, Star acted like he was already retired at the end of the season to me. 1 Quote
Juice_32 Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 WFT buddy of mine who knows football said he was log jammed behind Allen and Payne but there was little to no drop off when he was in. Just needs more snaps. 4 1 Quote

GunnerBill Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 I actually quite like this signing, Tim Settle is a talented guy, but I still feel that we should be focusing on 1 or 2 difference makers not a lot of role players. 3 3 1 Quote
