Hmmm. Hopefully cheaper than Williams.  Probably an upgrade in run blocking and at best a wash and maybe a bit worse in pass blocking.  Doesn't count against the comp pick total which is nice.  I think they may yet still sign another OG then draft an OT that can play OG in a pinch.   Don't see Doyle as a long term starter and they will need to start planning for Dawkins replacement soon.

Yeah I know they also Run though.  So same type of Pass Blocker (slight upgrade to Williams) and a massive upgrade to run blocking.  

 

And Does not hurt the compensatory formula.  Win win Win

He was released 3-4 days ago. So I think the dust did settle in regards to him.

Played RG 2 years in StL.  Much more experience on the L and I think maybe a bit better there.

If you look at our combine meetings, the majority went to pure C/Gs. We will not draft an OT who can maybe play OG. We will draft a true OG and let them shine.

Every passing team is better when play action is an actual threat.  Every QB is better when they can hand off a few more times a game and decrease the chance of getting hit in the pocket.

Depends what the money looks like. I doubt it has settled to the point where I'd be in favour of this move.
