That, and I expect Saffold wanted to check out B'lo and the Bills facilities as well.

I didn't think Morse was in Buffalo.  He didn't appear to be in the B'lo interview facilities.

Well Morse being on contract is what i meant about him being in buffalo.  Easy for him to get lined up for a presser.  Which I dont think it means thy are done

No, it's just a sign that these are a player still under contract and a player who is free to sign immediately, vs a guy who can't sign until Weds.

This feels like a move for the sake of making a move.

Not that it matters, but I don’t approve.

Not at all. This is a Kromer guy. Kromer move all the way. Watch for Austin Blythe as well. RG/C.

I wonder if that was a factor - he mentioned playing through a shoulder injury this past season.  He also mentioned meeting Dawkins at the Pro Bowl.  I have to wonder if Shnowman talked up the training facilities and staff as "they'll get you right"

I'm sure that Brandon Beane's first thought this morning, as he rolled out of bed this morning and put on his slippers was, "Dang, I better make a move today...oh crap, I better make a move!"

The way Beane thinks Saffold  day one starter but as year unfolds and a young guy (draft pick) emerges Saffold then quality depth

The draft pick (which will be around a 3rd rounder IMO) will get some reps but I think Saffold will start all year.

The thing is with his Kromer connection he will be able to move position if needed.  If that unfortunately happens the kid will get more.

I'm going with 2 years $7 million. The 2nd year is to spread it out, really just 1 year. His cap hit should be very team friendly.

I was thinking $8M but he will be in a good position if he is playing well and fitting in to possibly go another year.

I bet we sign Austin Blythe as well to compete at RG. He can play RG/C. Him and Bates compete. Loser is the interior backup.

We draft a G high and hopefully he beats them both.

The leaks left with Rex.

When it comes to discussing their offseason plan Beane and McDermott are like...

Is he in Buffalo right now?  Who dropped the ball and missed that he was in town?!

no one was watching the Pegula Jet.  I had my ear to the wall at Tempo.

This signing, says they absolutely want a run game that works every time it’s called on, just knowing that we have such a run game makes the offense all that much harder to game plan against, its a good thing, we are NOT going to be a run first team, it’s a red herring/ strawman argument to think/say we are trying to be.

Go Bills!!!

The OL coach doesn't dictate the style of offense. The hiring of an OL coach doesn't mean the whole organization wants to become a running team. I'd venture to guess that the GM, coaches, and ancillary staff kinda maybe sorta know what kind of player is at the helm behind center, [perhaps even more than us fans do?!] 🧐🤷🏻‍♂️

No, the Bills are not going to take what's been wildly successful the past 2 years and just say "welp... passing that much didn't work...scrap it!," turn it on its head and become the Eagles, Titans, 49ers, Browns, etc.

Overall, the Bills still ended up middle-of-the-pack in terms of % of run plays (18th @ 40%). Yes, a chunk of that is JA running, but as much of that (if not more) was designed as opposed to scrambles, but it's not even about **how often** we run. Getting more efficient would be glorious, and only does wonders for the passing game.

Reputations are a fickle thing. People act like he wasn't the OL coach for all those NO Saints teams of the decade prior that had Drew Brees having unheard of 5000+ yd passing seasons and setting records putting the ball in the air.

I literally LOL'd when I read your screen name. Nice job and welcome to the board.

Lol. Most people don't get it, which surprises me. They just think it's my name and call me a giant nipple.
