bigK14094 Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Forget Haskins, but Mason Rudolph would be a candidate if he is available. Quote
TheFunPolice Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 good for Mitch. Seems like a good guy and hopefully it goes well for him this year and he plays the best game of his entire life when they play Tampa Bay Quote

Don't think he is much of an upgrade from Big Ben the past couple years. That's a tough division. Pittsburgh could be considered #4 right now fighting it out w the Brownies. If we play them early in the season, we will face Mitch. If we play them late, we face Malik Willis😉 Quote

Wish him well, except when he plays us haha With Jimmy G, 49ers have gone to a SB and the NFCC game 2 of the last 3 seasons (missed it 2020 JG injured)--beating Aaron Rodgers/Packer both years in the playoffs. With both him and Lance still on the roster, why would the 49ers pay for a former 1st rounder on his 3rd team in 3 seasons who hasn't played a game since 2020? Anyway, 1 less AFC team to worry about this season. Quote

I though the rumors to the Giants was just poor journalism. If he gets over 20 mil, the Bills and Josh deserve a cut Actually he deserves himself choosing not to take any of the bad options he had last year and deciding to refocus getting the ghosts out. Good organization in general to play at. Quote

It’s why 49ers are looking at Mariota too. So yeah, Niners were definitely a spot he made sense. No indication if they were interested or not, but they are also stuck with Jimmy G right now because Watson trade will hold up Jimmy G. By the time he gets traded there may not be a lot left to pick from. Quote
Chicken Boo Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Very smart, Mitch. You have all the weapons you need in that offense. Quote

I completely disagree and think that he is a second rate QB. If I am wrong it will not be the first time. 1 1 Quote

They have Harris and a decent corps to support such an offense. I expect the Steelers to do well with MT Quote

JG has won 68% of his games in SF and in his two postseason runs they went 4-2, losing only to SB winners. He's not great but he's better than Trubisky or Mariota 1 Quote

JohnNord Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 I don’t know if Pittsburgh’s offense is the best spot of Mitch but he’s starting, so good for him. Quote
blacklabel Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 He said it was down to Steelers or Giants. I think he made the right call. While he would know the system in NY with Daboll, ownership there has made it real clear they're gonna do all they can to make Daniel Jones the guy. Mitch gets a much better chance to start where he's competing against a QB the Steelers don't have a major investment in with Rudolph. But it is interesting to see how this dude went from undesirable to "come win a starting gig" after a season in which all he did was kneel, handoff, run for a TD or a throw a pick. Understandable though, since there are quite a few QB-needy teams and the prospect group isn't great this year. Quote
