My thought:  why would he want to come here for a Emmanuel sanders role when he could go to GB and play a potentially much larger role?

Sanders had a very prominent role until he was hurt. Had he stayed healthy, it looked like the chemistry between him & Josh was amazing. Hell, people on here were actually getting annoyed he overshadowed Beasley, Davis & even Diggs at times.

If I were him, I'd be down for that role. Only problem is I don't think he's capable of that anymore, at least not as like Sanders.

I think Davis is going to be in that role.  He’s better than Julio is. I don’t think there’s even a question.  So what role will it be if Davis gets the lions share?  Are we going to be running a lot of 4WR?  I’d think maybe 15% of the time (and that’s very generous).  We’re going to use more 12 personnel this year.

IMO, Julio would get around 30% of the offensive snaps in the games that he’s healthy. Likely much larger roles on other teams.

don’t get me wrong, I’ll take him for the right price….I just don’t think he’d get that many reps.

I'm less worried about roles than I am the overall talent..........the only top regular season producer they have is Diggs.

Davis may be able to do it but we don't know if he can.    In a league with so many good receivers..........being all-in on a 500-600 yard WR as your #2 and having Jake Kumerow as his backup........that is more of a problem that it would have been a decade ago, IMO.

I was less than impressed with Davis not taking playing time away from the tired Sanders sooner last year.........and that dreadful game he had where he was like 3-13 on targets......and that killer drop late in the Jax game....there is reason to wonder if he can bring the intensity/focus to be exceptional week in and week out, IMO.

I don’t have the same doubts as you do about Davis.

i agree we need more weapons @ WR.  I was just chiming in on what Julio’s role would likely be in this offense.  If Julio is our guy, I’m fine with it, I just don’t see why he would want to come here if he’s going to be a backup.  The guy can barely stay on the field and has clearly lost a few steps.

i think we can do much better than Julio in the draft and that’s what I’d prefer

Yeah they need more WR talent being in this AFC arms race.........even if they are totally in on Davis as a perennial 1,000+ yard type receiving option.

I don't question the talent of the dog in the fight but maybe the fight in said dog........in the dog days of last regular season he was on the f*cking porch. ;)

He was more of a meh than a positive until the games started getting interesting and higher profile.     If he just turns into a "playoff Gabe" character that's fine..........as long as they have someone else to be the man.

I think he’s better than that.  I no doubt that he’s working his tail off and putting in the work to become great.  I don’t necessarily think he’ll be a great WR, but his work ethic will get him to the very good level and that’s good enough for me. Until he leaves for more $ after 2 seasons.

Say the bills stay @ 25 and Wilson, Olave, london, Burks and Jameson are all off the board…which WRs would you be happy with @ 25 and would you prefer to take them over a top 5-6 corner?

If Olave is there, you run to the podium. Jameson I'd be happy with, but he'll miss at least half the season.

If more than 1 of these WRs falls to #25, that likely means all the 1st round CBs are gone. I don't want London at all, and the others I only take if the CBs are all gone.

Any of those WR's and Dotson........except London..........over any likely CB option available........and I've probably gotten to the point where I'd add Christian Watson and put him over Burks.

If I thought the Bills were going to become more opponent specific and play more man coverage my opinion of CB value might be different...........but going CB twice in round 1 in 6 years when playing zone coverage doesn't add up, IMO.

I would include Dotson as a wr I'd be comfortable taking @ 25. If the run on wr starts to look like they are all gone before our pick, I hope Beane considers a trade up, though I'd be happy with Booth at cb if he somehow is still on the board. Otherwise, I like Pickens in the 2nd, but you probably need to trade up to early in the second to make certain you get him. I don't think this is a stand pat and let the draft come to you year.

You would still have Watkins and Pickens to choose from.

You mean Christian Watson, I think. I was thinking second round for both, but from comments in the Watson thread, looks like he may go in the first.

For sure.  I’m thinking there’s a slight chance Pickens gets selected before 25

You wouldn’t include Dotson in that group?  I would.  His hands are the best in the draft imo. Josh Allens passes require good hands.  I’d be happy with any of the 3.

To me Dotson is a solid pick assuming some higher rater player didn't fall. As think he can be a return specialist as a rookie, maybe be our slot guy in his 2nd season and if he proves to be as fast as he looks in college a potential replacement for Diggs in 2024.  Yet Kyler Gordon is my top fit for the Bills in the 1st.

They couldn't beat out a team that was in the same division of the trade partner?

And a team that gave up next to nothing.

What was Dallas asking for?  Parker and a pick for nothing.

They could not have been trying very hard.

😂

I actually could see Parker working out in Dallas, well a lot better then I think he will in New England.
