Do you think he is worth more than we offered him? What do you think he will get from the Vikes? How much do you think the Bills will match up to? Quote

They are pretty much in the same boat as us in terms of cap space, so it is interesting to see where this goes. Bates, Edmunds, pick for Danielle Hunter? 4 minutes ago, Tom Donahoe, GM said: Do you think he is worth more than we offered him? What do you think he will get from the Vikes? How much do you think the Bills will match up to? If they were planning on him being their starter, they should have given him a 2nd round tender, and they didn't. So they are either taking a huge risk, or they don't think as highly of him as we do, or they are planning on finding a starting guard in the draft. Edited March 17, 2022 by MrEpsYtown 1 1 Quote

If you're willing to pay him more, why not choose a lower tender then match any reasonable offer. Best case no one offers and you get him for a lower price, or someone offers a reasonable price and you match, or someone offers more and you let him go (w/o comp I understand) I just mean that if you're willing to match, why not choose the lower tender? 1 Quote

Whether he is the long term answer or not? I have no idea. We only have a small sample size of him playing meaningful snaps, but he faired well imo all things considered. When I say "screwed" I don't mean it in the terms of we're doomed or anything, only we could lose a nice depth piece with starting potential. I don't think we pay any more for him that $3-3.5M per year. I have a feeling the Vikes will offer him a contract that the Bills will not match. 2 Quote

Yeah it makes sense. But it is only about a million more. So I think if they were really planning on him being their guy they should have done that. At the same time, it is hard to put a price on guys like this, so finding out what another team is willing to pay is not a terrible strategy. 1 Quote

And Von Viller. EDIT for clarity, this post is /s Feliciano was a backup g/c. Not a starter as evidenced by him being healthy and watching Bates play. Breida wasn’t our 3rd down back. He was 3rd rb and rarely ever played. dimarco? Are you serious? Fireable offense. 1 1 Quote
