Grant is better than McKenzie. Would have preferred him. I know people get mad, but it is what it is. Grant just has that vision on returns.

Maybe but apparently he is also much more expensive.

Isaiah McKenzie has never really gotten enough consistent offensive snaps to see what he's capable of.

For the most part, it's been a gadget play here and there.

I do know that against New England last year (2021) and the last game against Miami in 2020, he was pretty much uncoverable.

Last year was also his first year as a returner.  So he still has room for growth and improvement.

13/3= 4.33

8/2= 4

McKenzie's originally reported contract numbers were 8/2, but he was actually signed to a 4.4/2 as far as I've seen

In terms of the return game, you either have it or you don't. Grant has crazy vision and he explodes through the middle of coverage teams. I don't see that with McKenzie or Stevenson honestly.

I do think McKenzie has a role as a receiver, and the one thing I will give him is that he is younger than Grant. He seemed to play well in that NE game because they insisted on playing him man with a big slow corner. But he was excellent in that game. The Miami game was a meaningless game.

  1. McKenzie's contract is about half of Grant's.
  2. To paraphrase the old Irish saying, "The Devil you know..." McKenzie has been with the Bills for 3 years. They know him, his character, abilities, and personality. He is a known quantity. He's well-liked and well-respected within the organization.
  3. On his only punt return in 2020 he scored an 84 yard TD. I would definitely consider this exploding through the middle of the coverage:

I believe Lil' Dirty has untapped potential as a returner, especially after studying under Andre Roberts. I believe his benching last year was botched by McDermott. Moreover I'm not convinced that Jakeem Grant is a better investment than McKenzie. Especially at twice the cost.

Some proposed Rule changes

I like the Titans proposal. I doubt it would have helped us this year tho. Our defense was struggling to stop chefs.

Edit- Did people miss their last three drives where they did any and everything they wanted with little to no resistance?

The Best part of this it is other teams making the proposals not the Bills.  Where people would put it out there as crying no doubt.
