Virgil Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 (edited) Looks to be a 2-3 million dollar savings against the cap this year, while locking him up for a few more years. Solid move Edited March 14, 2022 by Virgil 8 2 Quote

He was meant to count $11.25m against the cap this season. EDIT: Oh and we keep a starting piece of our OL. Edited March 14, 2022 by Wayne Cubed 4 5 Quote

Brennan Huff Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 (edited) I really thought he was cut potential. I’m indifferent about this…. Ok I’m going to break this comment down because apparently this is some of your guy’s first year following free agency Each team is allowed a certain amount of money each year to spend on players. It’s called a salary cap. Try to follow along. The Bills are really close to hitting that cap. Now I said Morse could have been a potential salary cap cut because of his salary, not because of his play on the field. He was already making a lot of money, top 10 salary on team. Now some teams base their cuts on the particular players salary, especially if they are close to the cap. When I said I was “indifferent” about this, it was because he was given a raise. Does Morse deserve a raise? In most situations I would say absolutely. But like I’ve been sating, we are close to the cap and we have some needs. Thank for attending my Ted Talk and go Bills Edited March 14, 2022 by Brennan Huff People are slow. Maybe it’s because it’s monday 5 1 1 Quote
Green Lightning Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 I get the restructuring but a raise? He's Mobile but can't move a traffic cone run blocking. Also a hit away from serious head injury. 3 Quote
BillsFan4 Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Nice! I’m guessing his cap hit went down for this year despite the pay increase. I thought he had his best season as a Bill last year. 3 Quote

YMMV 🤷♂️ But I think letting go of Williams and extending Morse is a big clue as to what kind of OL Kromer envisions here - athletic guys, not big road graders or guys who are trying to be athletic and failing. 7 3 Quote
Mr. WEO Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 (edited) His original contract was 4 million at 11 million per year average. Not really a significant pay raise is it? Edited March 14, 2022 by Mr. WEO Quote
Negan Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Probably saves some cap space I would guess. Beane doing work this morning 1 2 Quote
