Diggs Davis (Day 2 Pick) McKenzie Stevenson Kumerow Knox (FA Signing to upgrade from Sweeney) Yeah I don’t love that. I think it is clear the team needs more speed. Just re-signing McKenzie doesn’t help. and replacing Sanders with Davis actually makes us slower. So yeah I kind of hate it. So I guess it depends on what they do in the draft. I prefer a DJ Chark type, bigger guy with speed to burn. 3 Quote

Einstein's Dog Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Yes! Glad to hear. Keeps the plan I would like to see alive. McK back, get another good TE. And draft a WR early. That is a plan that covers short and long term success. Short term, McK and the new TE share slot responsiblities. Long term it allows a path for a drafted WR to quickly rise into a prominent role. J Williams type would fit nicely. Then Diggs gets restructured soon, Davis in 2 years, and good rookie 4-5 years. Great financial planning in the WR room. Unfortunately the TE portion just got tougher - Ertz is out, Gronk is a harder get w Brady back. Engram/Tonyan/Hurst are a tier down. I think Beane may have to go to a big offer to Gronk. Quote

I would like to have 1 more WR lined up either through FA or draft/UDFA. I think draft would be a better option for another TE. But I may be in the minority on that one. Quote

The other 2 seasons he's averaged 35.5 on an average of 109 targets. That's not good at all. And yet, in the Kansas City playoff game Cole had 7 for 79 yards (11.3 YPC) and 3 first downs. He can stil play. McKenzie will have to prove he can be a full-time guy, which the Bills seem to be OK going forward with. 1 Quote
SCBills Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Super weird tweet by Josh Reed… ”Not a lot of balls to go around after this…” Proceeds to list the same exact players as last year, minus two WR’s that played legitimate snaps. 2 1 Quote
BananaB Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 If Beas is out McKenzie definitely earned his shot. Glad he’s back Quote

Hodgins is a Practice Squad guy. I'm not counting on him making the 53. He was a hot name last offseason, failed to show anything, and was released. I don't get why posters are so attached to him. 10 minutes ago, SCBills said: Super weird tweet by Josh Reed… ”Not a lot of balls to go around after this…” Proceeds to list the same exact players as last year, minus two WR’s that played legitimate snaps. I know, right? I said the exact same thing. "Not a lot of balls to go around"? It's the same players we had minus (most likely) two key contributors. That would equate to around 15 players per team. Off the top of my head I don't think the Bills are even close to that number. Quote

That was his stat total for both games in the playoffs, not just the Chiefs game. And the 1 catch for 19 yards in the NE game was in garbage time with Bills up by over 30 in the 4th. His average yards per game in the playoffs was pretty much on par with his 31 yard average in his last 9 regular season games and 1st downs per game. Over his final 11 games as a Bill there’s nothing to suggest his game is anywhere near where it was in 2020. Quote
