There will always be people in every organization, looking to make an impression by cutting costs. It is a shame that those in executive positions are listening to these cost cutting measures.

Mike Ginnitti of Spotrac on one of his recent visits on WGR radio, on One Bills Live, very casually but confidently stated he expects a trade back from the Bills. Not sure if that has any part in this, but if you were thinking a trade back is in the works hosting a Day 1 Draft Day Party would be odd.

 

That said, they could certainly set something up fro Day 2. Day 2 is better, IMO anyways.  More for the diehard draft fans.

My guess is they intend to trade the pick and thus see no reason to host a party only to have the whole purpose for the party not actually happen.

Not having a draft party is fine with me.  i agree the pick is so late, what’s the point really.  Just win football games and continue being one of the best run organizations at the moment.  I’m sure they will do fan related things over training camp and the summer.  

This just seems like something to complain about.

Gotta say that this is one of the lamest things I've heard in a while.

 

And the whole look of raising prices but giving less is not good.  There used to be pins, banners, magnets as well as events etc as part of being STH.  None of that now.  And in-stadium "swag" is also down to pretty much nothing.

 

If only I was still on the Fan Advisory Board (if there even is one any more).

 

 

As someone who left WNY in 1977, I have no idea what this entails. Can someone describe this draft day party? How many attend? Where is it held? Is it free food and drink? Do they give stuff away?  I’m not sure if I should be upset without knowing more about what you are missing. 

 

I do get that it’s a long time until the Bills first comes up, and I hope it stays that way!

for me, that draft party is a big waste of time

 

before the pick, of course they reveal nothing

 

after the pick they say it was the guy they wanted all along

 

its so much more enjoyable watching from home

 

having said that,,,,,its a mistake on the bills part for not having it....some folks really enjoy it........the biggest reason is probably the cost of opening the stadium and all the security needed to keep it safe

Not for nothing, but I always looked forward to the season tickets package in the mail.  Nothing special usually except a flag, but at least you felt you got something others didn’t.  Now they just mailed the plastic cards.

It's not perfect by any means, that's for sure (although I feel like it's fairly easy to come up with ideas to improve it). I guess my frustration is the broader topic that they've been cutting corners the last few years with season ticket holders.

Y’all should reach out to your reps and make sure that your feelings are known. If enough do the message will get to the right people. All y’all deserve some perks and freebies etc.
