The Jokeman Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 He's definitely bring some speed we need at RB. He could also serve as a return man. Coming off an injury he should cost much. Thoughts? 3 Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 I thought Tarik Cohen was a character from Star Trek: Picard. 🙁 2 Quote
thenorthremembers Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Very much a niche player. A 3rd down back who really wont bring you much in terms of blocking. His real role probably is a slot wideout, jet sweep specialist and kick returner. Would rather have McKenzie back in that role. 2 1 3 Quote
Process Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Tore his ACL a year and a half ago and still isn't medically cleared. No thanks. 2 1 Quote
BuffaloBillsGospel Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 IMO these are special types of players, role players, he is not capable of playing every down and for me these are the kinds of players you look for late in the draft or as a undrafted rookie free agent. I wouldn't pay for it as there are many of these types available again imo. Quote

BillsFanForever19 Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Honestly, this is the type of RB acquisition I'd expect. Very much the Frank Gore, T.J. Yeldon, Matt Breida inexpensive veteran type that Beane likes to bring in behind Singletary. 1 Quote
Florida Bills Fanatic Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Currently, he has not recovered from his knee injury and there is some serious doubt that he ever will. He was fun to watch before the injury. Lucky for him he had signed a new contract just prior to being hurt. I'm sure that he is not on Beane's radar at this time. Quote

There have been plenty of players who have made significant contributions on special teams including returns and turnovers which made wins possible. Using LOW COST (which is what you are emphasizing although not saying it) players is not something successful by most high rated special teams. Quote
Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Even with the injury he is likely an upgrade from Moss unfortunately. Quote

I was saying I personally wouldn't like the team to use a high pick on a player like this, he's 5'7" 179 lbs. so there's no way he's a FT starter, he's great on passing downs and contributes on special teams. Can't you find players like these in the 4th- undrafted free agency? I was not trying to hide anything. If you disagree that's fine I can respect that also but what would be your reasoning? Quote

Agreed, there's so many cheap options at RB, why gamble on a small guy that had a devastating knee injury. I would have been all for it if not for the injury. Quote
