Trey flowers to be released

doesn’t seem to be a fit for us but I’m sure he’ll sign with another AFC contender.  
 

anyone watch him recently?  I admit to only watching one Lions game since he joined them.

He'll probably go back to New England on the cheap like all their free agents who fail to be productive on other teams.

Big time FA dud, had like 3 total sacks the last two years with the Lions.

 

Maybe he goes back to the Pats on a cheap deal since that's where his previous success and production was but I wouldn't be interested if I'm the Bills.

Plus he hasn't been able to stay on the field the last two years, injuries. He's played a total of 14 games in 2 seasons.

After what they owe him in dead cap, the Lions spent 6,938,438 million dollars a sack for this guy.    This is a perfect example of why teams who win free agency continue to suck for years and years.    Great job lions.  You spent 72 million dollars on a guy who averaged 3.5 sacks a year.  

 

For contrast, the Lions paid Flowers 72 million over the last three years for a total of 10.5 sacks.   While his time has come and gone, the Bills have paid Jerry Hughes 71 million dollars total in the last 9 years, he had 53 sacks in that time.   What a mind numbingly bad signing for the Lions.
