Would love it, but not expecting anything even close in FA.

I think Beane's plan will be to sign a couple of mid-tier FAs, and draft a C/G in the 2nd or 3rd round (and maybe even another in the 6th/7th).

Here are the guys to watch from our meeting list...

Cam Jurgens - C/G Nebraska
Logan Bruss - C/G Wisconsin
Zion Johnson - C/G Boston College
Lecitus Smith - G Virginia Tech
Dohnovan West - C/G Arizona State
Kenyon Green - C/G Texas A&M

Would not surprise me if McBeane goes OL with 1st round pick.

Dawkins, Kenyon Green/Zion Johnson, Morse, Williams after paycut, Brown, Gronk with Ford, Bates, Doyle as backups could be a good O-Line

Bates will be a lot cheaper than Williams and played better last year. I don't see him on the bench with Williams starting.

I'd love that too, but not sure anyone will be there #25 that is worth the pick. Assuming Linderbaum is gone before then, it isnt worth reaching for a guy we could get in the 2nd. Maaaaybe Kenyon Green. I wouldnt mind trading up to around #20 to get Linderbaum.

As I dig deeper on the guys we met with, I could see Beane going with Cam Jurgens in like the 4th or 5th as a possible Center replacement for Morse.

I have never been his biggest fan. I think he has been overrated most of his career. Wouldn't have given him the big deal Tennessee did and wouldn't be made keen on him now unless he comes cheap. If he is still sitting out there and they want to bring him in as a dust settles guy in a couple of weeks, fine. But chasing him in the first wave of free agency would be a bad move.

If Kenyon Green there I would take him. He’s a beast. Aaaand his NFL player comparison? Ritchie Incognito. That sold me.

I don't love his game. But is a Kromer guy though. Kromer helped make him a lot of money with the Titans. (He played for Kromer in LA for 2 years and those were his best years going into free agency)

As a replacement for Daryl Williams as a backup guard? Sure. But I would like a better upgrade there and bring back Bates.

As shallow as the class of FA guards is I'd expect Saffold to get a starting contract on the open market.

Beane did say protecting Josh was #1 priority. I could definitely see it.

So, he can really throw his weights around…?
