CSBill Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 Every signing, done at the right price and at the right risk-reward level, can be a good signing. So, if that is case, bring him back. Quote
Ross Murdock Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 Absolutely nothing exciting to see here. This guy hasn't been a factor anywhere in years. Just because he wore a Bills helmet at some point shouldn't warrant ANY excitement. The Bills are a consensus SB contender this year. Possibly signing Lawson does not move the Bills competitive needle one bit. Quote
TheFunPolice Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 assuming he really wants to get back here, and given his recent track record, he should come fairly cheap I liked him when he was here, and sometimes new places just aren't a fit. 1 Quote
HOUSE Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 It would be a great move by the guy with the sunglasses Quote

He'd definitely earn a bunch of snaps on this current roster. Expand Rousseau held the edge pretty good last year for a rookie. Shaq likely be his primary backup. 2 Quote
ngbills Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 We already heard this back in january and there was no deal. I think Shaq wants back to the Bills bad so he keeps putting this out. If you can get him as a much cheaper Addison or Obada replacement why not. I just dont want this to be THE move on the DL. Quote
BillsFanForever19 Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 (edited) I mean, if he wants to come for peanuts and be our replacement to Efe Obada - okay. But we need something strong opposite Rousseau. Signing Lawson, Re-signing Hughes or Addison (at this stage in their careers), Epenesa, or Basham is not the answer. But I'm okay with Lawson being part of the 3 man rotation with Epenesa and Basham outside of the Starting 2 though. Edited March 9, 2022 by BillsFanForever19 Quote
Aussie Joe Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 This seems like a signing you would make after the draft if cheap DE depth was still a need .. Quote

Would still like to acquire a genuine pass rusher though. Expand They thought they were getting that with Addison, who had at least 9 sacks in 4 straight years with Carolina. He’s had 5 and 7 sacks in his rotational role with the Bills. Quote

Expand Hughes was a great speed rusher about 5 years ago. At best Hughes might get a QB to take a step forward as he breezes behind them. Then there's his wild inside rushes where he usually gets rolled on and the QB escapes to his side and next thing you know Matt Ryan is doing his Lamar Jackson impression. 1 Quote
Fan in Chicago Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 If Lawson signs, it will point to a shake up in the DE room. I have theorized that Hughes, Obada and Epenesa won't be on the team next season Quote
