RevWarRifleman Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 How many of you swam in the Erie Canal? Me & all my buddies did a lot back in the 60's. But as I look back now and remember that water in those days, I wonder how I was able to survive in that stuff. But jumping/diving off those high bridges was a rush. What say you? Got any "war stories"? Quote
Chef Jim Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Hmmmm. The Erie canal doesn't go through Upstate NY. 2 1 Quote

Got any "war stories"? We swam in it not from the Rochester Airport in the late 70's. We had one guy who we always kind of pushed off the bridge first to make sure their weren't any cars below. We ended up getting chased out of there by a sheriffs boat after he called for a couple of police cars. 1 Quote

The simple solution to invasive carp invasion is more recipes for carp. They could also turn them into dog food like they do farming catfish in Alabama and Mississippi (not all catfish goes into dogfood with best sold to processors and wholesalers). 1 Quote

Let's just say "this isn't my first rodeo" 😆 with say the likes of Mr.Gugny and the Chefmaster . They like to feel special and don't realize there's a big world out there that shares some of their geographical space... It's the only reason why guys like that fail to recognize that a state with it's name the same as the nation's largest city, is greatly influenced by that city, is first subdivided into 2 parts and then 9 specific regions. People like that "pull the cart before the horse." OR should I say the barge before the mule on the towpath. 😏 1 1 Quote
