Expand The only way it would make sense is if Hyde wanted to be released and requested it (and the Bills did him a solid by not trading him instead). Expand I think if you read that properly, it says top ranked not top defense. You can’t argue with the statistics. What you also can’t argue is the result of the last playoff game they played which showed they were not the top defense in the league. Quote

Even if Phillips stays, they need reinforcements at DT and CB is a barren wasteland at the moment that requires a FA and a high draft pick to ensure that they are covered if White isn’t ready at the beginning of the season.
