Everyone is speculating on big free agent moves.

Dudes: the Bills are over the salary cap. That kind of constrains the ability to maneuver.

So are the Chiefs and they are about to go large in FA too based on various reports.

Current salary cap situation means nothing and there are tons of other pending moves Beane can/will make.

There will be plenty of money freed up to get a splash player if they so choose to do so.

I’m finished replying to people about how easy it is to get under the cap. It’s absurd people still can’t grasp that money can be moved around and players get cut/traded/extended.

As has been mentioned several times, the Bills have several moves they could make to get under the cap and sign some of these guys

Ya. They can sign those looking for bottom feeder contracts. Wake up and smell the bacon. I will eat my shorts if the Bills make a big move.

There was interest in JJ Watt last year, he’d still be a big name…

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Stefon Gilmore  wants to come back.

Chandler Jones and Stefon Gilmore.

Gilmore is a good call… that would be interesting…

JC Jackson? Would he want to get revenge on the team that spurned him?

Doesn't Jackson want to get paid? He has to know the Bills aren't an option for a payday.

It makes sense that he would want to play with Josh Allen...he has first hand knowledge of how good Allen is...😉

But is Jackson overrated? Honestly, I have never seen him play well...

Not far off you say?

  • Team (former Pats):
    • Chandler Jones
    • JC Jackson
  • Position (CB):
    • JC Jackson
    • Carlton Davis
    • Casey Heyward Jr.

That's not exactly true. The Bills can do a huge contract with huge bonus money spread out. You can also make the base pay very low early on.

That would mean huge cap hit down the road but right now who cares.

No, he is really good. New England mans him up against #1 WRs without any help over the top. Any CB in that position is going to give up some yards. He had the 2nd most INTs in the league last year. If we could somehow make him our #1 CB while Tre recovers, and have both of them heading into the playoffs, we would have arguably one of the best secondaries of the past decade. I just never considered Jackson because I assumed he would be too expensive.

Saw people suggest him earlier and the closest thing I could think of as a plausible way it happens is he's sticking it to NE by playing here for a year before he gets paid elsewhere.

i'd rather have Donte Jackson than JC Jackson imo. Better fit for the Bills and what they like to do on defense. Will also be expensive but not quite to the level of JC Jackson
