Still early, we were rumored in pre-FA to be strongly interested in a DE from Indy last year and nothing ever became of that. There is truly only 1-2 ‘insiders’ and most of Buffalo’s FA signings last year were not leaked outside of Gronk and Watt. Ertz was never confirmed by team I don’t believe (trade interest is hard to prove anyways).

I'd prefer we spend money on OG and Gronk. Let Wallace and Trubisky walk.  Bring back Hughes and hopefully Phillips. Get rid of Addison, Butler, Ford, Gilliam, Jones, and Haack. Get a couple high comp picks. And then get a CB, DT, pure edge, WR and new punter in the draft. We have enough 4 sack DEs.

First of all.........the Buffalo FA signings last year were all 1 year deals.......that's not the kind of thing that agents leak ahead of time.

 

The Bills basically didn't even participate.

 

And yeah they were reportedly interested in Denico Autry and he went for more money than most initially expected.    Autry ended up playing really well for the Titans too........put up 9 sacks and was a beast.

I remember him from UCLA. Remember the pre draft stuff, liked him, saw he got drafted by LAC. The next time I heard/saw his name was today in this thread.

The guy you’re resigning (Hughes) had 2 sacks last year. The guy you’re getting rid of (Addison) let the team in sacks each of the last 2 years. Otherwise I agree 100%

And Jerry was the more effective pass rusher in each season…..without question.  Addison played better this year than the previous but still was as effective as Jerry getting pressure and beating his man.  Jerry had 7 pressures (Ed had 6) vs KC in the playoff game.  Mahomes did a helluva job evading….similar to josh.
