NewEra Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 People have been posting them in the other draft thread. I vote that we pick one of these 2 threads and agree to only post mock drafts in that one particular thread. 😃 54 minutes ago, IronMaidenBills said: Post them if you got them. 25th Kaiir Elam CB 57th Zion Johnson OG 89th Wan’Dale Robinson WR or Alec Pierce WR 126th James Cook RB 166th Thayer Munford OG 184th Ellis Brooks LB 203rd Amare Barno DE 228th Matt Araiza P 243rd Dustin Crum QB Great draft. I’d be ecstatic…. I’m confidant that our first 4 picks will all be gone before our pick in that round. Maybe one slips through. Quote

I started a draft thread earlier in the year, but it was mostly dedicated to prospect talk and what positions people wanted to draft. I figured I’d make one specifically for drafts only. If the mods want, they can delete this one. Yeah, we may not get the players I picked, but I’ve done a few only mocks from varying sites and I’ve managed to get these picks to fall. So hoping it works out this way! I’d be ok with several other WRs, but judging from what Beane said, it seems they are quite adamant about O linemen and CBs. I really like Wan’Dale, Elam, and Cook. I’d be really happy if we managed to get them. 1 Quote

LyndonvilleBill Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 Other than a mock, I wouldn't draft a punter. But when I was looking at it, at least the punter could be a starter.😉. 6th round down is more for backup/ST and depth in my opinion, plus, we REALLY need a new punter and IronMaidenBills looked lonely...😁 Quote

Plus it’s not like we have a great punter. Araiza is totally worth a 5th or 6th round pic IMO. 4 1 Quote

Araiza is 8th. Note also that his return yds are much worse than any of the top 10. Finally, note that 3 punters stand out for most punts inside the 20. Of these 3 punters, Stout has the highest percent of punts inside the 30. 19 minutes ago, IronMaidenBills said: I normally wouldn’t take a punter early, but Araiza is generational talent. NewEra Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 (edited) Trade down. Trade down. Trade down. Trade down. Everyones mock draft starts with a trade down……would be nice, but unlikely unless we are lucky imo Edited March 5, 2022 by NewEra Quote

NewEra Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 Lol….yup. Not very realistic, just good for results Quote
Simon Says Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 (edited) Mock drafts are fun,but futile until free agency ends. Beane will try to restructure deals and he has a number of his own free agents to decide on . At this point we might be able to project what positions to address but not where they will be selected. I do wonder if Beane will bundle some picks to move UP Edited March 6, 2022 by Georgie Quote

ROCBillsBeliever Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 (edited) FanSpeak On the Clock 25: R1 P25 CB Trent McDuffie - Washington 57: R2 P25 DL Perrion Winfrey - Oklahoma 89: R3 P25 RB Breece Hall - Iowa State 129: R4 P25 WR Calvin Austin III - Memphis 168: R5 P25 G Chris Paul - Tulsa 184: R6 P6 WR Christian Watson - North Dakota State 202: R6 P24 QB Skylar Thompson - Kansas State 229: R7 P10 P Matt Araiza - San Diego State 244: R7 P25 DL Damion Daniels - Nebraska I don't know how Christian Watson was there in the 6th. Skylar Thompson is raw as hell, but we need bodies in the QB room, and the dude has wheels and a big arm; just needs time on task. At least his skillset wouldn't necessitate a dramatic offensive shift, if 17 went down. I thought Breece Hall in the 3rd was a steal. Araiza takes care of our punting woes. Calvin Austin replaces Beas. Winfrey is a big interior help. McDuffie could start day 1, while Trey recovers. Paul can work his way into Guard rotation. Would have taken a TE with the last pick, but Daniels was sticking out like a sore, thumb, Gilliam is serviceable, TD Doyle was used as a blocking TE for the tail end of the season, and he did actually catch a pass... Maybe we land TE in FA? I dunno... I would take this draft, for sure. Edited March 7, 2022 by ROCBillsBeliever Space between "Christian" and "Watson" 1 Quote
