DAVID HOROWITZ: The Real January 6th:

According to a report by the Inspector General, Donald Trump offered to provide thousands of national guard troops to protect the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, 2021. Trump was concerned about the possibility of trouble from fringe elements on the left and right who might see it as an occasion to cause trouble. His offer was rejected by Pelosi and the Democrats who instead provided a grossly under-manned Capitol police force instead. The under-manned force was unable to set up a defensive perimeter around the building; which is why there is extensive video footage showing Capitol police officers escorting demonstrators into the building.

The January 6th protest was milder than any of the hundreds of Black Lives Matter riots the summer before, and led to no serious destruction of Capitol artifacts. But the Democrats en masse pretended to be horrified. They denounced the protest as an “armed insurrection” and compared it to Pearl Harbor and 9/11 and other enemy attacks on the United States which resulted in thousands of deaths.

When it was pointed out that no arms were found on the protesters, the Democrats simply dropped the term “armed” but still referred to the demonstration as an “insurrection” – i.e., treason. They made no effort to explain how one could mount an insurrection without arms. Obviously one can’t. Nonetheless, they accused Trump of inciting the “insurrection” even though no Trump sentence could be twisted enough to substantiate the charge. Democrats condemned him and attempted to prosecute him and even consign him to public oblivion. They passed resolutions seeking to bar him from public office, also saying that no public building or monument should bear his name – not even “a park bench.”

Read the whole thing.

I know a few folks here who would believe that there is no security camera footage there.  And if there is, they will then parrot media IC mouthpieces who tell them that releasing such footage is a bad idea.

Why does Julie not focus on those who planned and coordinated getting all these people to DC and why?

The title of this thread suggests we should feel sorry for those who were conned - but you freaks refuse to acknowledge those who put these people in this position - all of the events, coordination, the fake electors, John Eastman and Pence and so on…

And if you insist this was ab inside job - who was POTUS at the time?

Its always someone else’s fault when it comes to Conald Trump.

Compare this scene to police efforts to keep "peaceful protesters" at bay during the 2020 summer of love. Those law enforcement officers were attacked with bricks, fireworks, bags filled with urine and feces etc. and were not permitted to respond with appropriate force, let alone flash bang grenades.

Here we have a bunch of protesters milling around and chanting, nothing more. Then the police launch flash bangs into the crowd unprovoked.

But sure, it was an insurrection!

Doctor Who Tried to Save Ashli Babbitt Slapped With Felonies, Other Charges for Participation in Capitol Riot

by Mike Miller

A California doctor who treated mortally wounded Ashli Babbitt after she was shot inside the U.S. Capitol Building on January 6, 2021, as she and others tried to gain access to the House Chamber, has been arrested by the FBI for his own alleged activity at the Capitol on that fateful day. As reported by the Daily Beast, Dr. Austin Harris, a board-certified cardiothoracic anesthesiologist from Southern California is facing both federal felony and misdemeanor charges related to the riot.

Harris was arrested on Jan. 25 in Van Nuys, and charged in a federal criminal complaint with “knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds without authority”, and “disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds” — both felonies with sentences of up to 10 years in prison — and two charges of “disorderly conduct, parading, demonstrating, or picketing in the Capitol building,” both misdemeanors.

As reported:

Harris treated Babbitt’s gunshot wound for four minutes after U.S. Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd shot her at about 2:45 p.m. that day. When Babbitt fell from the window frame she was climbing into, Harris stepped forward from the hallway crowd to provide aid.

A video journalist with medic training also tended to Babbitt before police drove both men from the hallway outside of the Speaker’s Lobby.

Harris was on his knees checking Babbitt’s upper chest wound when a U.S. Capitol Police bicycle officer reached down and grabbed him by the shoulders. The officer wrestled Harris away from Babbitt, grabbed him by the jacket, and shoved him down the hallway.

{snip}

While it’s ironic that the doctor who tried to save Ashli Babbitt’s life has now been slapped with multiple federal charges for his own alleged participation, the “coincidence” isn’t relevant.

What is relevant, along with multiple other Jan. 6 cases, is why it took more than two years to file those charges.

Hypocrite Extraordinaire: Whiny James Clyburn Explains Why GOP Biden Investigations Are a 'Waste of Time'

08432f9b-fee9-4544-a727-6b71824b19d3-860

The Democrat Hypocrisy Team is deep, America, just as it’s always been. I don’t know if South Carolina Democrat Rep. James Clyburn is the MVP, but I do know he’s on the starting five.

For his latest display of hypocritical prowess, Clyburn chose no less than MSNBC clown car driver Chris Hayes as a trusty sidekick, with whom he put on quite a show. Hayes kicked off the idiotic festivities by asking the veteran Democrat congressman to share his thoughts on the upcoming GOP investigations of The Family Biden™

More on the above.

Chief January 6th Investigator Makes Shocking Admissions, and Committee Members Covered Them Up

NBC News committed a random act of journalism on Tuesday, interviewing the chief investigator for the January 6th committee, and the revelations were astounding.

Without trying to sound hyperbolic, what Tim Heaphy says to Lester Holt may be the most significant admission regarding January 6th since the attack took place.

Previously, surveillance videos had revealed how complicated and confusing the situation was, but according to Heaphy, the attack was preventable before the first person stepped foot on the Capitol grounds.

Further, according to Holt, committee members like Liz Cheney and Adam Schiff purposely suppressed that damning information in the final report in order to keep the focus solely on Donald Trump. In other words, the committee put politics above exposing the avoidable failures of federal law en

Quote

HEAPHY: I think it would have been a lot different had law enforcement taken a more assertive, protective posture. The intel in advance was pretty specific, and it was enough, in our view, for law enforcement to have done a better job operationalizing a secure perimeter.

Law enforcement had a very direct role in contributing to the failures, the security failures that led to the violence.

Heaphy reveals that the intelligence prior to January 6th was direct and not ambiguous. The FBI knew that people were going to attempt to get inside the Capitol Building. Still, instead of trying to prevent the attack, recent revelations showed that the FBI played along, having informants within the Proud Boys organization.

The question is why? Obviously, we all have our opinions, but it at least seems as if the government wanted things to escalate on January 6th in order to harm Trump and the Republican Party politically. That’s the only explanation for the FBI and the Capitol Police not being prepared to deal with a violent protest they knew was going to happen.

As many have pointed out in relation to the January 6th committee, the only constitutional role its members actually had was to assess the failures of government agencies. That is congress’ power of oversight, but instead of doing that, the committee members ignored that element altogether, leaving reams of damning evidence on the cutting room floor presented by investigators.

The behavior of the January 6th committee was downright scandalous, and there must be a reckoning now that Republicans are back in charge. Every bit of internal deliberation needs to be made public, and there should be a new committee appointed that actually delves into the areas Liz Cheney and her cohorts refused to analyze because they were so obsessed with getting Donald Trump.

Little by little, the truth is going to come out.

The real investigation is who undermanned the Capitol Police that day, either intentionally or ignorantly?  They should be held accountable.

It's always been lies and innuendo.

"Rolling Stone said Jan. 6 leaders used ‘burner’ phones" to communicate with top Trump officials. "Where’s the evidence?"

Asks Eric Wemple (at Washington Post).

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/01/30/rolling-stone-jan-6-article-debunked/

“According to the three sources, some of the most crucial planning conversations between top rally organizers and Trump’s inner circle took place on those burner phones,” wrote investigative reporter Hunter Walker. The contacted associates included White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Trump campaign consultant Katrina Pierson, and Eric and Lara Trump, the article alleged....

Although [January 6th] committee investigators took pains to scrutinize the Rolling Stone report, they failed to corroborate it....  Failing to corroborate a claim isn’t the same as disproving it, but the committee’s interview with [Scott] Johnston torched the account of Rolling Stone’s main source.

Asked about the implications of the committee’s report, the magazine said in a statement: “Three sources alleged in November, 2021 that a key Jan 6 rally organizer used burner phones to communicate with Team Trump. Rolling Stone reported those allegations. Since then, one of those sources has gone on the record. We’ve reviewed the reporting in the original story, and it’s solid.”

Not good enough. Rolling Stone published a juicy story, bursting with clandestine implications, and then basked in the digital reverberations. Now that the sourcing looks suspect, the magazine publishes an unattributed statement and seeks to move on....

(Details at the link). The torching of the Johnston account has to do with his naming a particular store where he bought burner phones. The store has no record of the purchase.

While they throw the burner phone theory against the wall hoping it will stick, remember that the feds also used geofence warrants to nab J6ers precise location in and around the Capitol that day

But that same technology when applied to individual phones that visited multiple ballot drop boxes (10+) AND  known dem non profit addresses (5+) every day for weeks, then it's suddenly not a reliable technology dontcha know?

In other words it works for nabbing republicans but not democrats.
