Me, I find it horrible... although the curly fries are decent for fast food fare. Want roast beef? Get it sliced at your known quality deli... I use Publix for ours. This one, the roast beef sandwich, isn't rocket science. A good roll, hot af horseradish, and anything else you want to add to it. Arby's is a complete and utter failure.

I managed Arby’s for almost 8 years . All the “ Beefs” were 10 lbs . After defrosted they were just like a big square of tan colored jelly like goo with little spots of real beef here and there(very processed). Until they were cooked for 4 hours .

Puts you in mind of the 'cheese'.

Because its pretty lame?

If you have ever grown your own horseradish you know it will clean out your head in seconds... and when grinding its best to stay upwind for sure.

I find Arby's roast beef ok for road food but fortunately I have not been to one managed by poster.

Right now I pass supermarket delis which are never quality and often manned by people who often work other jobs and cannot provide consistent product or service.

I buy my roast beef from Restaurant Depot, same place which supplies many delis and small restaurants in this area.

My wife has a home meat slicer so she cuts it for me thick since I am eating without being on bread either as a snack or mixed in meals she makes.

I worked there in high school. The beef before being cooked looks like jello with fruit in it.

Back in the '70s, the readers letters pages of the 'National Lampoon' were good for some off beat observations.  One month, Ronald McDonald wrote in suggesting that people throw a brick through their local McDonalds, with a notation saying "You deserve a brick today!"  Within a few issues, he had again written in, saying that they had found a way to incorporate the ground bricks into the food, so please PLEASE keep sending them in.

I don't know why folks in WNY would go to Arby's in lieu of Anderson's.  If there was an Anderson's down here I would go there every week or 2. I really enjoy going there.

The fast food in WNY is clearly superior to the fast food downstate. A hot dog at Ted's is 10x better than Nathan's.

The pizza down here is better, but of course this is jmo.

I actually really liked going to Arby's as a kid but being older now and after hearing the horror stories of people that have worked at Arby's I find it pretty gross.  Haven't been to one in probably 12 or 13 years.  I'm not a big fast food guy in general though.  We have so many amazing food places in WNY the fast food joints are never too enticing.

Fast food is pretty much grease, bread, “condiments” and potatoes no matter where you go. I eat the stuff sometimes. If you are in pursuit of quality go to a quality (non-chain restaurant or cook it yourself.

I have always heard that WNY and Greater Rochester are two of the few areas that cook a natural casing hotdog over a charcoal fire.  Most other locations you get a 'skinless' dog that's boiled, griddle cooked, or rollered. 😳 Out of town gourmands can verify or deny?

I don't eat their roast beef but I have had their gyros and like them. For a fast food gyro it's decent.
