Yep. Something I find interesting is we have a Defensive Backs coach (John Butler), a safeties coach, and a nickel coach (Jim Salgado). But not a CB coach.

seems like S, his profile shows S coach

makes sense since Babbich moved from S to LB coach

If I remember right he was also an assistant coach at Houston Episcopal High School

 

I believe in high school, he was a three-year letter winner and two-time All-District Safety at Elkins High School.

 

Not sure but I think he helped lead EHS to the first playoff game in nine years.

It would be a huge stretch for him to coach anything besides safety.  He's really young anyway, but his only college experience is coaching safety.

This could be a prelude to adding some more young DB's in the draft and making sure that they have enough resources to teach and develop them.  Mc D and Beane don't do things like this without something specific in mind.

   Why would they have any say in the coaching staff?  They have as much say in coaching hires as the Loch Ness Monster.
