Senior bowl is a good measuring stick for G5 guys to measure up against big school guys. Pro days show their speed etc. it really comes down to the NFL gets a ton of money and eyeballs on the NFL in the off-season and doesn’t want that apple cart ruined

True, but are there even 80 guys invited to the Senior Bowl and that includes many big-school guys.  I’m not arguing that the NFL isn’t profiting off the Combine in the past 15 years or so, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t value to the NFL and the prospects beyond the marketing.

With the $ that even rookies make, is it really unreasonable for teams to want to see their prospective employees on a fairly level playing field.

Players would have shown up...agents were just crying.

NFL just toying with the NFLPA....again, because it's so easy.

This is just obvious foolishness.  As soon as the playoffs came, boom we aren’t testing because it’s not necessary.  Now they are back to bending the knee and acting like it’s something they have to be restrictive about.   I hope all the top prospects say, “you can come to me”.
