Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 (edited) Where's Gordon?! 😁 Edited February 20, 2022 by Ridgewaycynic2013 2 8 2 Quote
stevewin Posted February 20, 2022 Posted February 20, 2022 I enjoyed the Namath segment. My first football memory was as a very young boy at the Rockpile with my Dad - I remember it was raining and it must have been warm-ups and my Dad pointed to a player standing in the mud and said "That's Joe Namath" - and he said something to the effect of 'remember this'. 1 Quote

Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Watched episodes #3 and 4. Often watching old "NFL films" you'd hear that line "They're killing me Whitey, there killing me" Never realized that was Lou Saban till I watched this. Brought back many memories. 68 AFL championship game, Raiders and Jets. I was growing up in NYC area. Back then the game was blacked out in the NYC area as was the custom, games were never televised in the home market. Imagine today games not on home market TV! Quote
Chandler#81 Posted February 26, 2022 Author Posted February 26, 2022 That typical Saban quote was said while coaching the Broncos between his Buffalo stints, fyi On 2/21/2022 at 9:20 PM, Ed_Formerly_of_Roch said: Watched episodes #3 and 4.
