ndirish1978 Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 TLDR. Maybe McDermott could scare you into proper sentence structure? 2 1 Quote

As far as McKenzie goes there were some stories about how there was much more to the story with him about things going on at practice, etc. Likely before any FA player signs with a team, they make some calls to contacts they might have or even friend of a friend to find out what it's really like on said team. Other players know what went on behind the scenes and will tell. Recall reading both this year and last Diggs was recruiting players to sign here. Doesn't sound like there are issues going on to me. 2 hours ago, Limeaid said: It seems more like a Debbie Downer post than a troll post IMO. It takes an outlandish view designed to get attention. Even if the person does feel that way about McDermott, they're not trying to have a conversation.. they want attention. Notice it emulates an earlier outlandish thread and the OP has disappeared. What I do have a huge problem with is a HC that doesn't own up to his own colossal mistakes. I'd be terrified knowing I've worked my butt off in a playoff game only to have him screw it up late. At the risk of interrupting your never ending crusade against McDermott, if you don't think he owns up to his mistakes, or doesn't hold himself accountable regarding things for which he is responsible, then you haven't paid any attention over the last five years to those things that define the character of McDermott. Or, you just have no ability to evaluate human behavior. 4 Quote

Florida Bills Fanatic Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 We don't see the things that go on in practice and meeting rooms. When we see a guy go to the bench in a game, we assume that it is because of a single and most recent misdeed. Most likely, the benching is the culmination of multiple issues (the straw that finally broke the camel's back so to speak). Players on a good team aren't going to support a player that is a continuous screw-up. If a coach lets bad play slide, he'll lose the entire team. Most players want to play on a winning team. As long as Beane, McD, and Allen are in Buffalo, they will be a reason for players wanting to play there. 1 Quote

Just off the top of my head: 1) Extensions are usually signed a season before the player hits FA. Exchanging your current contract for an extension that pays more and perhaps has better guarantees can be a sound fiscal decision - the "bird in the hand" vs "bird in the bush" thing 2) Depending upon the position played, the player may believe they have more value to that team than they would on the open market 3) There's $$ and then there's guaranteed $$ 4) The drafting team could be located in a state where the player gets to keep more of their $$, eg no state taxes 1 Quote

I believe I'm stating this correctly from a math perspective: There's an inverse relationship between the number of posts the OP has and how outlandish and crazy the thread is.! Quote
