jayg Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 Hell , I'm almost 52, never even wanted to get married. I get it....and what does sex have to do with love or marriage? Just asking for a good catholic boy... Quote
Nextmanup Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 This has been an even bigger story for longer in Japan. It's the cell phone/internet culture. We now have entire generations of humans who have been raised on "social media" which is anything BUT social... It creates hordes of loaner zombie types. And the really fun part is these kids are now entering the work force! Employers are finding they have to first teach these people how to be socially functional, never mind the job description. I have been saying this for at least 5 years now: the day is coming when "gluing your cell phone to your hand and interacting with it every 30 seconds, all day long" is recognized as an official DISORDER, like alcoholism, or porn addiction. We're still not there yet though. Quote

Yes, isn’t it crazy that we live in a “hyper-connected” world but yet people are really more alone? Watch anyone in a crowd nowadays and you are very likely to see that the individuals only interact with their phones. COVID has probably only accelerated the changes. Quote
