Special K Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 With what players know about head injuries, expect to see a lot of “early retirements” over the coming years. 2 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 (edited) Eh, Just like with McVeay I'll believe it when I see it. This whole week of "Super Bowl coverage" has been nothing but media overblowing every little thing a guy says and putting clickbait titles out (of which no one actually reads the stories and gains VERY strong opinions just off said headline) Edited February 13, 2022 by BuffaloBillyG 1 3 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 $100 million earned. Easy TV money waiting. Go out on top? Definitely. I don't know how these guys do it post 30 years old with tens of millions in the bank. 2 1 Quote

Protocal69 Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 All the Rams players and coaches know that they mortgage the future for is one game. They see the writing on the wall. I wouldn't be surprised if they go fire sale this offseason 1 Quote

TBBills Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 Would be funny if they all retired and left the Rams with no future b.c the mortgaged it. Quote

Expand You have to remember most players barely have a college education and have nothing to do after the NFL as been one think been working toward most of their lives. If didn't invest wisely what you going to do for 30-40 more years after retire from NFL Quote

DCofNC Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 If he does I would see it as a cosmic shift in the way people are thinking these days. The point of work is to live, if I could retire after 8 years and be set for life, there’s no way I’d continue to work, why should we expect it to be different for these guys? The allure of money is there, but what good is money of you beat your body to a pulp and can’t enjoy life with it? 1 1 1 Quote
