As is cocaine. I don’t know what the heck happened here, but this is why I buy a lot of Bills gear, but I don’t own any players jersey. I could see a few retired guys like Kyle Williams or Butch Byrd, or even Josh, but we really don’t know these players as people.

I feel badly for everyone involved here. So sad…..

That's it, let's blame the country, society at large and every other aspect of his environment ,when someone violently commits crimes and destroys innocent victims. Pity the victims.

How about we pity ALL involved. We don’t know what happened, or why, but many lives were ruined here. Does he have CTE? Mental health issues? Drug addiction? Some combination of all of these?

Something went wrong, and the victims include friends and families. I feel for them all. It’s just sad.

I mean, the guy was described as crouched in a corner hiding from the Russian mafia and shot the first person to open the door.

whether drugs, some sort of schizophrenia, a traumatic brain injury, or combination thereof — seems the guy wasn’t all there when it happened. Doesn’t mean it’s ok, but as you boil down what’s going on, you may find a much more productive way for both Bannon and society figure out next steps from here instead of cookie cutter lock him up and toss out the key.

I applaud your compassion for everyone, but how does CTE or mental issues enter into hiding from the Russian mob in the acupuncturist's office and firing a gun arbitrarily as the door opened. Are we going to search for causal societal factors for every violent  act? Punish these viscous criminals and get them off the street for long sentences.

You may not be the last one to call him that...

Would you be looking for next steps or root causes if one of your loved ones got killed by this scum who had little regard for human life, indiscriminately shooting the first person to come through the door.

In summer of 2008 or 2009 I was hanging out at the North Star in San Francisco which is a well known Bills bar and he wandered in. He is from Sacramento and heard about the Bills bar so he wanted to check it out. He stuck around for a while and we were drinking and shooting pool. At the time he didn't play for the Bills anymore, but he said he loved playing there and liked the city and fans etc. Al the things that Bills fans love to hear. He was a real nice chill guy. Oh well, maybe CTE caused it?

I seriously doubt we will find an understanding based upon what I’ve seen so far, but I’ll take one shot at it. If someone has a mental illness, or is diminished due to something like CTE, I feel sorry for them. They are not “themselves”. They will do things they never would have considered if they were healthy and sober.

This guy was crouched in a corner with a gun hiding from Russian mafia. It seems to me he may not have been in his right mind. There is an insanity defense for a reason.

NOW, do I feel for the pure victims the most? I do. Including their family and friends. It’s pure tragedy. But I also feel for someone who did something terrible because they were out of their mind. I also feel deeply for his parents, siblings and other loved ones who have to live with this. There are no winners here.

I feel badly for everyone.

16 years seems excessive, but I’m glad the woman lived. What is Ruggs likely to get? Life? I look at his crime a bit different, seems more careless (and heinous) and obviously that poor woman and her dog burned alive.
