Its the economy, and crime.  Watch for lots of big corporate employers announcing job cuts and lay offs (or what they might call workforce right-sizing) after the mid-term elections.

Of course he did, now that the truth is out there.

John Fetterman wipes Black Lives Matter section from campaign site amid attacks over crime.

Fetterman’s website previously stated he has ‘championed the idea that Black lives matter’ before the phrase became a ‘hashtag.’

Democrat Party candidate for the Senate from Wisconsin

MANDELA BARNES: “I really could not care less about a 2nd Amendment ‘right.'”

Indeed, Barnes — a Democrat challenging Wisconsin Republican Sen. Ron  Johnson — has tweeted more than 18,400 times since joining Twitter a decade ago, an average of nearly five tweets a day.

“I would probably say I spend too much time online,” Barnes, 35, said in a February 2021 interview. “I can be reading too, but I spend a little too much time online.”

But what’s he saying on Twitter?

* * * * * * * *

Barnes asked in November 2016 if the presidential election had been “rigged.”* Months later, the first-term Democrat declared Donald Trump, then president, a “Russian spy.” More recently, he dismissed the notion that George Washington was one of the country’s top presidents.

Barnes once said he “really could not care less about a 2nd Amendment ‘right’” to bear arms. He also criticized House GOP Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana for not changing his position on gun control after being shot in the hip during practice for the Congressional Baseball Game in 2017.

“Taking one for the team,” Barnes wrote even as Scalise was using crutches and a scooter to get around the Capitol. “I question how people vote against self interest but this is next level. He literally almost died on this hill.”

When people tell you who they are, believe them.

If This Is The Dems’ ‘Winning’ Message, They Deserve To Lose … Bigly

Issues & Insights, by The Editorial Board

Democrats have been trying to scare voters for months. A Republican victory, they shout, will mean the rise of semi-fascism! Women will be shackled to their birthing beds! Democracy itself is at stake!

None of it has worked. Despite endless news reports about how Democrats’ chances in the midterms were improving, the needle just isn’t moving.

So, will they try to run on their record of “accomplishment”? Brent Budowsky, a columnist for The Hill, says they should. In a piece headlined: “A closing message for Democrats to win,” he says they just need to ask voters: “Do you want to build on, or reverse, the achievements of Biden and the Democratic Congress?”

What achievements? Budowsky lists them. Democrats, he says:

  • lowered prescription drug costs,
  • created tens of millions of high-wage jobs,
  • made “dramatic” improvements in veterans’ health care,
  • “important” progress to combat gun violence, and
  • “historic” progress climate change,
  • strengthened the Violence Against Women Act,
  • passed the American Rescue Plan,
  • expanded Child Care Tax Credit,
  • and got a bipartisan infrastructure law passed.

Seriously? That’s the list? Most of these are bogus. The rest will just make voters think Democrats are even more out of touch than they imagined. Their top concerns are inflation, the recession, and violent crime, and Democrats want to brag about bigger subsidies for electric cars?

But let’s take Budowsky seriously for a minute, and look at each of these “wins.”
