Probably just posturing.  He’s in line for an extension, right?  Maybe talks aren’t going as well as he would have hoped.  So he threatens to go back to the A’s and relearn how to play second base or centerfield or whatever.  Have at it.

He should go play baseball, he doesn't have the testicular fortitude required to be great in this league... all the talent in the world but I think the pre-draft analysis questioning his love for the game was pretty spot on.

When he was drafted I specifically said….”After 4 years more than likely he will struggle and return to baseball”.

 

Struggle meaning not staying healthy and just struggling to love the game of football. I always just thought him being undersized would be tough and he’s always IMO had more love for the game of baseball.

Maybe he's salty that he was actually criticized for his playoff performance, including throwing one of the most boneheaded pick-6's I've ever seen.

 

He has a throw right there which he could place where either an eligible receiver, or no one, gets it

 

Instead, he pulls it down and waits until this happens:

That wins out hands-down over anything Allen did in the Houston playoff game, and he deserves a ***** ton of flak for it.

Murray made some unbelievable  plays that looked more like luck than ability. It finally came to a halt and he couldn't actually be a QB when needed.
