I get the concept but having never actually played, how well does he really know the playbook?  Obviously he is in film room reviewing what Allen did but its quite different than actually playing.

He’d have to be released by the Panthers and they’re paying his either way.

The Panthers exercised Darnold's 5th year option.  For 2022, his salary of $18.9M is fully guaranteed, and fully transfers with any trade.

Not only did Davis jump from our practice squad to the Giants, but Daboll also took the Scottish Hammer Jamie Gillan as well.  So much for the Hammer being competition for Haack.

Not surprised. He knows Daboll’s system very well and everyone always calls him  another coach in the room. Why not sign him to help Daniel Jones learn the system?

 

I expect Daboll to come after more Bills players.

Read some of the articles.  He was in the meetings and when he was not practicing he was doing effectively what an Offense Quality Control person does for the film. He reviewed film, did due as PS QB as well as other positions and was working with Coach Diabolical on revising plays based on input Webb got from #2 and #3 QB as well as WEs.
