I just read about this guy. 6'4" and 325 pounds. All kinds of power. Had a standout week at Senior Bowl according to Daniel Jeremiah. Projected as a day 2 pick.

Harrison Phillips played his best football down the stretch. But he remains athletically limited. I would love to see a real powerful 1-tech guy lined up next to Oliver.

What does the board know about Mr.Jones?

I don’t know if the Bills are gonna spend big money to get speed for Allen in FA, so I suspect that they will use the draft to get some speed on O for Allen.

A big DT that is cost efficient might be where they go in FA.

We all wanna be big stars
But we don't know why, and we don't know how
But when everybody loves me

Mr. Jones and me
Stumbling through the barrio
Yeah, we stare at the beautiful women
She's perfect for you
Man, there's got to be somebody for me
I wanna be Bob Dylan
Mr. Jones wishes he was someone just a little more funky
When everybody loves you, ah son
That's just about as funky as you can be

I wouldn't hate drafting him but, I think they'll re-sign Harry. If Star doesn't retire, I don't see us drafting a DT1 early. Maybe a late rounder. Unfortunately, I just don't see us drafting a DT1 on day 2.

Big DT is definitely a need. I don’t see us taking Jordan Davis in the 1st round, even though he’s the guy I want. But I’m a fan of Jones as well.

Davis would be a great pick!

I want that in FA.  We can’t scout those guys apparently.

You pay at more for those guys in FA and they aren’t usually available.

The type of guy you’re looking goes at the top of the draft and rarely makes it to free agency. It has far less to do with scouting and far more to do with scarcity. That’s why they’re so valuable.

I know you’re upset Rousseau, Epenesa and Basham aren’t game breakers (at this point) but we’ve yet to be in a position to acquire a guy like that… outside of Ed Oliver… and he’s been solid his entire career. Took a huge step this year.

I would actually trade up ahead of the Pats for Davis...He’s going to be a Star!  👍

I do believe Buffalo is in the market for an early round DT draft choice.   However, if it's going to be a first rounder I believe it has to be someone who isn't just going to be a decent run stuffer but it would have to be someone who they believe could put consistent pressure on the QB.   You don't draft 1st Round DT's who are just run stuffing specialists.

The Bills have 9 picks this year.  There is no way they can protect that many.  If they try and stash them on the practice squad they’ll get taken.  I’d rather see 5-6 guys that make the team.  Bundle a few picks, move up, and take Davis.

I think a bit early to give up on Rousseau and Basham and even Epenesa.  I would not hate a pass rusher, but would probably rather go to another position in round one.

They were last off-season.

They were literally 6-7 FA rushers available last off-season… McBeane punted for two rookies and an ex Panther…. Their lack of aggression in Fa has played a part in why they aren’t representing the AFC in the SB IMO.

They knew that they had to pay Allen, so didn’t want to spend on the FAs.

Watching the Chiefs game, IMHO we need to enhance our speed in the secondary and be able to push the pocket from the inside as well as pressure the edges.  I would like either Davis in Rd 1 and the corner they like best in Rd 2, or the corner they like best in Rd 1 and Jones or Devonte Wyatt in Rd 2.  Oliver has arrived, sign him and Phillips.  Move on from Star when contract is up.
