If I had a friend or someone I was close with I want to work with him too. I'm fine with promotions from within the organization. But continuity and Allen likes him mean Nothing game time!! If the bills are facing a defense thats giving us trouble, Will Dorsey be able to scheme around that and make on the spot changes?? Is Dorsey a creative thinker as far as Xs and Os? I'm not talking trick plays and wild cat. I'm assuming hes going to have his own complete new playbook?? I guess its a gamble either way, but I dont want our offense to drop off because were giving a first timer a shot. I understand your point but apparently 6 NFL teams were looking at him for their OC position. More importantly if Daboll was trying to bring him over to NJ, I would imagine Daboll who worked closest with him would have a good sense, or at least helped teach him how to elevate to coordinator. 2 Quote

Right, it's a gamble either way You're either taking a guy who washed out of an OC position elsewhere - maybe not his fault, maybe his side of the ball was great and the other side sucked, or maybe he didn't have great talent to work with, but that's a guess Or You're taking a shot on a guy with a good background, but he's never done it before and the jury is out Quote
CaptnCoke11 Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 It really doesn’t matter who they hired… people will cry about it 2 Quote

Billz4ever Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 (edited) Here's a question...Josh has several years under his belt now. I think Josh has grown immensely and has a good grasp of what plays need to be called based on what the defense is doing (recognizing coverages, blitzes, etc). Do we let Josh start calling some of his own plays? Edited February 2, 2022 by Billz4ever 2 1 Quote

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It would be nice if we were able to generate a better running game from the RBs. Of course Josh can run, but I hold my breath every time he does. Even a pulled hammy as he's going out of bounds could really screw this team. 2 Quote

"Diboll and Dorsey" as package was very distressing considering rules it would break but evidently it was more speculation and less news. Quote

So if Josh wants Dorsey he gets the benefit of the doubt. 1 Quote

Are there even 6 teams in a position to hire an OC right now (either because their OC was just hired, or because they have already hired a HC?) It seems like a bit of a stretch Quote
Maynard Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Best choice I believe. I’m good with it and Allen wanted him. Quote
