That doesn't surprise me as they were trying to go with a nickname that there were no other teams had already to avoid lawsuits.

 

Off the top of my head, I can't think of a team named the Commanders out there...

The former Mrs. Butterworth’s ain’t maple syrup… it’s corn syrup.

 

Indians became the Guardians shortly after this last MLB season ended. And their logo is absolutely terrible.
