CaptnCoke11 Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Bill can block that unless it’s a promotion 4 Quote
YoloinOhio Posted January 31, 2022 Author Posted January 31, 2022 I thought he might go after asst OL coach Ryan Wendell who he knows from NE. Maybe both? MWK Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 (edited) IF he’s the one who kept Bates on the bench, good riddance. The O-Line also hasnt exactly lit it up either. Edited January 31, 2022 by MWK 14 1 Quote

Also leads me to believe if we cut Feliciano he would end up with the Giants as he's one of Bobby Johnson's pet players. Edited January 31, 2022 by BuffaloBillyG 6 3 Quote
FLFan Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Good riddance. This is a change they should be making anyway. 11 5 Quote
CSBill Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 (edited) I really thought he’d be let go anyway. Let’s face it, an evaluation of his work in Buffalo is not positive. Edited January 31, 2022 by CSBill 1 1 1 Quote

Not sure what they think of him… I believe that McDermott assigns a lot of responsibility on position coaches. I have questioned this before when posters kept saying McDermott was wrong for not playing Bates. IF it was finally Sean that got Bates playing over Bobby recommendations then maybe a change is in order. We just don't see the inner dynamics so all of the "takes" are speculation. 1 Quote

One of my biggest worries of this offseason is that the line did "just enough" to convince Beane that we should run it back with that line and continuity will really help next year. 2 Quote

Not quite sure that’s McDs style though. If a coach wants to leave, I’d think that he would let him. I was calling for Johnsons head 2 months ago, but he and Daboll did a fine job turning the OL play around to end the season 1 Quote
Buffalo Junction Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Can he be replaced with Tom Cable? Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Please let him poach him. I've been calling for his head all year. 5 Quote

It looked to me like there was a change in philosophy with respect to the running game, and thus the blocking assignments. This led to more success running, and more time and freedom for Allen in the passing game. This was a Daboll adjustment, I suspect at urging of McD. The fact Is that the OL has underperformed consistently and the development of younger players ahas been slow and spotty. They can do better at OL coach. 2 Quote
FilthyBeast Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 I don't think this would be as big a loss as some folks think. Also if he had anything to do with letting Beane trade Wyatt Teller than good riddance. 4 Quote

atlbillsfan1975 Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Not to mention how good guards look when they leave the Bills. This doesn’t concern me. Quote
