I mean, do some even basic research dude.

Compare his resume to Dorsey's.

He's been with the Ravens 1 season. He isnt the GM, so he isnt drafting or signing WRs. He coached Brown for only this past season (his first decent one).

Ok, well thats why I asked "what am I missing here"

The rule is not ideal, but it is not the problem....the real problem is the fact that this guy probably wouldn’t get an interview without the rule.....when that changes, the rule can go away.

You’re speculating.  NFL teams operate in a small bubble and are very aware of coaches that work for other franchises. I could speculate That he’d likely get interviews and no one on the outside would give it a second thought. Anyway, the discussion was about perspectives / notions created by the existence of the rule.

Exactly...I hate how every time the Bills interview a minority candidate, people have to jump on here and dismiss the guy as a Rooney rule interview.....it’s ignorant perspectives like this that make the Rooney rule necessary in the first place.

The only thing that would scare me is if he brought the RPO with him. I wouldn’t mind seeing us do it 5-6x a game, but not too much ‘cause I don’t want to see Allen get hurt. It DOES look like he had two great seasons with Darnold at USC as well. 57:22 TD/INT ratio. So that’s a plus. Darnold was drafted high.

Also, he worked with Harbaugh in Baltimore and he worked with Vrabel in Tennessee, so he has exposure to some great coaches. This guy isn’t just some “Rooney rule” candidate. He’s a legit coach in his own right, not just because of the color of his skin. He’s legitimately a good coach.

Anyways, God bless him, we’re off to a good start. I’m encouraged by this.

I don't know absolutely anything about Tee Martin as a candidate, but it's not going to stop me from LOUDLY PROCLAIMING STRONGLY WORDED DECLARATIONS OF OPINION AND DECRYING ANYONE WHO DARES TO DISAGREE WITH ME!!!!!!!

Well, in fairness, we know that the Bills had a very high powered offense the last couple of years, a very highly ranked defense the last two years, played in an AFC championship game and Divisional round game in successive years and a fair amount of folks wanted to run the coordinators out of town as well.

The experience is pretty consistent, really, like Fritos offering consistently crunchy and salty deliciousness bag to bag.

Beane: Thanks for coming in for an interview

Martin: Thank you for the opportunity

Beane: If you were hired, what would you do with the offense

Martin: What ever Josh wants

Beane: You're hired

Serious though, does Allen really need anyone other than to have some healthy discussions during the week?

Tee Martin is going to be a very good coach in this league. Very smart dude, who played the QB position and was learning to play QB side by side and behind Peyton Manning. Honestly, I don't hate the idea. He is also working under Greg Roman, so maybe he can integrate some of those run game concepts here. He is a rising star and I think the interview is warranted. It scares me for sure, but I like the process.

Same.

John Harbaugh hired him so that alone warrants some interest.

This is exactly how I expect this process to look.  And the Bills have got to want to hear what these rising aspiring coaches would do with Josh

I've got an image of Josh being on the interviewing panel.

How could this guy be the first person on their list?  Yeah, I get Rooney rule and all that but even still.  He has no experience as an NFL OC.  Who knows how good he even is at WR coach as they don't throw the ball and when they do they usually don't to the WRs.

None of us and I mean none know the list.  It's the first they are interviewing.

I believe it's the Volunteers and not the Titans.
