Nextmanup Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Rooney Rule candidate? Please hire someone with lots of NFL play calling experience. We are not the drought era Bills anymore! 1 9 Quote
YoloinOhio Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Also could offer him the WR job if chad hall gets promoted. Would be lateral but why would he stay with the ravens who don’t throw it 1 1 3 Quote

Allen2D̶i̶g̶g̶s̶TBD Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Considering he only coached in the NFL for one year as a wr coach and he was never an offensive coordinator for a college team, I don't believe he is being seriously considered and he may have been brought in to satisfy the Rooney rule: The rule has been expanded to require teams to interview at least two external minority candidates for general manager/executive of football operations positions and all coordinator roles 3 1 Quote

thenorthremembers Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 5 minutes ago, Kwai San said: Why? Because you have to conduct outside interviews before they can hire within. 1 Quote
jkeerie Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 They are obligated to interview at least one minority before making a decision on a candidate. This fills that requirement. 2 Quote

BuffaloBillyG Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 (edited) Spent 2016-2018 as USC's OC. Last year was his 1st season coaching in the NFL. Spent time at New Mexico, Kentucky and his alma mater (Tennessee) mostly as Pass Game Coordinator/WRs coach. Would definitely be an "In Beane I Trust" response on my part if hired. ToGoGo Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Another example of the joke that the Rooney rule is. But let's all pretend it's great for America, or something. 3 3 8 8 Quote
