Read it here many times during the season Just because the refs aren't throwing themselves at the feet of players to stop TDs or whatever, doesn't mean they're not doing what they can. Chiefs got away with murder today. Quote

zow2 Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 The head bang on Stafford shoulda been called, that was cheap. Quote
MJS Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Wow, that hit on Stafford was ridiculously dirty. Went right for his head. Quote

It's a good point but you gotta think the 9ers are just playing the vet that is more likely to protect the ball and manage the game so they can keep their very good D/ST's involved in the outcome. 1 Quote
SCBills Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 The 49ers fans are LOUD. Embarrassing for the Rams. Quote

Like when KC had Alex Smith starting and Mahomes on the bench - the team is doing too well with him playing. You can’t rock that boat and pull the QB you’re winning with to start a rookie. Quote

That's always true and not even just about this season. Quote
streetkings01 Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 If the Rams don’t win it all this year I don’t see how they get back with no 1st round picks, $14 million over the cap, 7 players making $15+ mill per season(4 making $20+ mill) and Miller and Beckham being UFA’s. They only have a 5th and 2-7th round picks in the 2022 draft. 2023 they have a 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th. 1 1 Quote

Great point, it makes total sense. Why ruin what works? Rookie QB’s are known to make crazy mistakes. However, Jimmy G isn’t the best with ball security either. He also seems incapable of making plays that redeem those mistakes. It’s possible rookie mistakes would even out if the guy was capable of making big plays. I suppose there’s a certain level of comfort with a veteran QB, and he got them to the championship game, regardless of my opinion. I just can’t imagine being an offensive minded coach like Shanahan and not getting restless enough to make a move. I suppose he deserves credit for being patient. It could be the right long term play. We’ll see. 1 Quote
PetermansRedemption Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Complete opposite of the AFC games so far, with their display of phenomenal young QBs. The NFC is like the senior center. Quote
