Back2Buff Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Extensive experience with McDermott and Diggs loved playing for him. In Philly with McDermott from 2001-2008. Somethings Diggs had to say about him: Quote “He’s definitely going to bring some exciting plays. He lets guys do what they do best and he’s going to implement everybody,” Diggs told Metro. “It’s going to be fun, I’m excited for his journey.” “He doesn’t get too high, he doesn’t get too low,” Diggs said. “He has the perfect guy to lean on for getting ready for games. He’ll have you in a right mental space.” https://www.metro.us/stefon-diggs-pat-shurmur-perfect-guy-for-giants/ His type of offense: Shurmur's system incorporates the West Coast elements of Andy Reid's offense with the vertical passing game of Norv Turner's offense and hurry-up elements of Chip Kelly's offense. https://www.denverbroncos.com/news/broncos-name-pat-shurmur-as-offensive-coordinator 2 Quote

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 I couldn’t think of a worse choice honestly. I hope they don’t go this route. 3 Quote
JakeFrommStateFarm Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Anyone who can incorporate the West Coast offense with Air Coryell has got to be good ! Quote
billieve420 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 I want to keep same offensive system in place. Hoping we can keep Dorsey who Josh has a good relationship with and guy he has endorsed. 2 2 Quote
iccrewman112 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Back up the Brinks truck and pay Dorsey to keep him. Pat Shurmur, just say no. 1 Quote
Ross Murdock Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 It's Dorsey's job period. Josh wants him, McD has raved about him, He was a decent QB in the NFL, a two-time Heisman Trophy finalist with Miami, worked with Cam Newton in Carolina (When he was good). OC is the next logical step for him. The announcement will come next Monday/Tuesday. Dropping these other names is a waste of time... Chill. 1 1 Quote
Roundybout Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Enough retreads. Get Dorsey or get someone with fresh ideas. 1 Quote

Malazan Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 I always keep an eye on Pat Shurmur so I know where he is all times and so that I can ensure he doesn't come within 25 miles of Orchard Park 6 Quote
McBean Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Pat Shurmur? We could literally have anybody we want and we are going to bring up Pat freakin Shurmur’s name? Woof. Quote

ToGoGo Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Is there a reason fans are against Shurmur? Are they very familiar with his offensive philosophy or Xs and Os? Serious question, but I think I already know the answer. Most ex-HCs were excellent coordinators once upon a time. If Beane and McDermott like him I'll side with them, and not the board where 80% of you were furious we didn't draft Rosen. I'm sure everyone is so much better informed since then. Quote
