The coaches blew it when they took the ball from Josh Allen and ran it 3 straight times and punted.

The conversation probably went like this prior to the drive.

 

McDermott, " Hey Brian,, I want you to run three straight plays."

Daboll, "What? We have them on the ropes, Allen is clicking now and we should use pass plays"

McDermott, " Don't disagree with me you bald headed clown."

Daboll, "Look who's talking"

McDermott, " Never mind, I want you to run SIngletary and McKenzie. I want my defense to rest."

Daboll, "Okay...."

With Allen and this core group, the Bills need to win their division and win the conference 1 seed.  Do that and we get to the SB. 

Yes the number one seed would get us home field advantage.    We were 13 seconds, kicking off, away from hosting the conference championship    I know if someone gave me a choice between 13 seconds away kicking off and trying to do it through 17 games next year, well to quote the late great Richard Pryor, "I'll be in that long line Jack"

There is no other choice, you can’t go back.  Other Bills team have recovered from a devastating loss.  
 

The Bills are not going away because of 13 seconds.

Getting the # 1 seed might not happen with the QBs in the AFC. Fact is, the Bills had as good a look at a SB title as they may see. 13 seconds from the de facto #1 seed as they’d be hosting the AFCC game. Rodgers and Brady were knocked out of it in the NFC. Makes the collapse even more painful.
