If he didn't win it, they should get rid of the award. Prescott was probably runner up but he lost in the first round of the playoffs.

I’ve always hated how they award comeback player of the year. To me, it should go to a guy who fell off the face of the earth, and then revitalized his career to have another good year. A guy who was putting up phenomenal numbers, recovered from an injury in one season, and came back the following season to put up phenomenal numbers shouldn’t qualify.

Who would you suggest? Not being snide...actually curious if you had another player in mimd.

Dak Prescott is much more deserving of it than Joe Burrow.  Burrow played twice as many games as Prescott in 2020 and had no body of work to come back to prior to his 10 game rookie year.

A 2nd year player should never get the comeback award.

I get what you're saying and I think Daq is a strong consideration but to have a rookie come back from such a serious injury and outperform his previous season (including in the playoffs) is much more impressive to me than Daq's situation.  "Comeback" isn't rigorously defined nor should it be.

How many players have actually done that. Fallen so far and then came back with a great year?
